Illinois Trekkers Volkssport Club

Our History

The Illinois Trekkers VC was formed at Scott AFB, Illinois, on 1 May 1980 and accepted into membership in the American Volkssport Association on 26 May 1980 as the first such club in Illinois and the 47th club in the AVA. Our first event, hosted at Scott AFB on 4 October 1980, drew over 500 participants and was an unqualified success.

• 1980 -  Club started with 35 members
• 1990 - Hosted 100th event
• 1998 - Hosted 200th event
• 2005 - 25th Club Anniversary
• 2005 - 150+ members
