9:00 am-12:00 pm 2019-10-19 4947 W Florissant Ave, St. Louis, MO 63115, USA The St. Louis-Stuttgart Volksmarch Club invite walkers to a traditional event at Bellefontaine Cemetery. Bellefontaine Cemetery is the final resting place for some of St. Louis’ most illustrious citizens, including civic and corporate leaders, politicians and literary figures. Simple and elaborate monuments are their resting spots. The cemetery was founded as a non-sectarian burial ground in 1949 and named for nearby Fort Bellefontaine . 9:00 am-11:00 am 2019-10-26 112 W Gooding St, Millstadt, IL 62260, USA Walk under the watchful eye of the “Old Tin Man” water tower in Millstadt with the Illinois Trekkers. The “Tin Man” is closely connected with the identity of Millstadt since the 1930s and is one of the few remaining hemispherical bottom and conical roof water towers in Illinois. It is visible from many vantage points while you are on the village walk. In addition, as you walk through town, collect Halloween treats at businesses and services. Most exciting, there will be a Tin Man Costume Contest. Dress up as a Tin Man (the water tower or from the Wizard of Oz!) and you could win a great prize!!
